28-Hour Florida Real Estate Reactivation
Help Licensees Return to Active Real Estate Practice
Real estate careers do not always follow a straight path.
A licensee may step away from the profession, allow continuing education requirements to lapse, or remain involuntary inactive for a period of time before deciding to return.
For eligible Florida real estate licensees, reactivation education provides a pathway for satisfying the applicable educational requirement and moving toward reactivation of the license.
Class Made Easy provides a 28-Hour Florida Real Estate Reactivation course that participating real estate schools can make available to eligible students.

What Is Florida Real Estate Reactivation Education?
When a Florida real estate license becomes involuntary inactive, the education required for reactivation depends upon the licensee’s status and how long the license has remained involuntary inactive.
The 28-Hour Reactivation course is intended for licensees who fall within the period for which Florida requires 28 hours of reactivation education.
The course gives returning licensees structured real estate education through which important concepts can be reviewed and reinforced before they return to active practice.
Course completion is an educational requirement. It does not, by itself, reactivate a Florida real estate license.
Know Which Reactivation Requirement Applies
Not every involuntary inactive Florida real estate licensee requires the 28-Hour Reactivation course.
Under current Florida law, a license that has been involuntarily inactive for 12 months or less may be reactivated with at least 14 hours of Commission-prescribed continuing education. A license involuntarily inactive for more than 12 months but fewer than 24 months requires 28 hours of Commission-prescribed reactivation education. A license involuntarily inactive for more than two years automatically expires.
Students should verify their current license status and the requirements that apply to them before enrolling.
A Different Student With a Different Educational Need
The reactivation student is different from the typical Pre-License student.
This person has already completed real estate education and has previously held a Florida real estate license.
The challenge is not introducing the individual to real estate for the first time. The objective is to help the returning licensee refresh knowledge, review important concepts and changes, and satisfy the applicable educational requirement for reactivation.
That makes reactivation education another distinct market a real estate school can serve.
Bring Former Licensees Back Into the Profession
Thousands of people enter the real estate profession, but not everyone remains continuously active throughout a career.
Career changes, family responsibilities, economic conditions, relocation, and other circumstances may cause a licensee to step away from active real estate practice.
Some eventually decide to return.
When they do, a real estate school can once again become an important part of their professional journey.
Offering reactivation education gives schools another opportunity to serve people who already have real estate experience but need education to move forward.
Expand the Students Your School Can Serve
Many schools naturally concentrate their marketing on people entering the profession. Reactivation education reaches another audience: people who have already been there.
28 Hours of Focused Real Estate Education
The 28-Hour Reactivation course provides returning licensees with structured real estate education designed for the reactivation process.
Rather than requiring the student to piece together unrelated educational resources, the course provides an organized program through which important real estate subjects can be reviewed and reinforced.
The course provides returning licensees with a focused 28-hour educational program that reviews and reinforces important real estate knowledge as part of the reactivation process.
Online Reactivation Education Adds Flexibility
A licensee returning to real estate may already be working in another profession or managing other responsibilities.
Online education provides an opportunity to complete applicable reactivation education without attending a regularly scheduled classroom program.
Through the Class Made Easy online education platform, participating schools can offer the available 28-Hour Reactivation course to eligible students while maintaining the school’s relationship with those students.
Keep the Student Connected to Your School
A student taking a CME online course through a Partner School remains part of that school’s educational relationship.
The school provides the appropriate access to its student, and the student completes the online education through the CME platform associated with the school.
Class Made Easy provides the educational content and technology behind the course.
The school remains the student’s school.
Your School. Your Student. Our Courses and Technology.
